Popcorn Seasoning Recipe

Free in the cell

To inaugurate this blog for mobile technology are providing a tutorial for our own internet server. The procedure is based on the MMS access offered by different companies, which function as data access and no cost, except when used for its intended purpose (multimedia messaging).

Like most phone companies block access to GPRS data for such connections, we have to do is "open" a door. The use of data will not be through corporate servers, but we will use a broadband access to a home broadband, or wireless telephone and we will divert through a mobile device. That's why the hardware that we will use it:

  • A PC with internet access and USB connection
  • A GPRS phone with support and active connection
  • data cable to connect the phone to the PC

This tutorial draws on the company personnel from Argentina, but is valid for most mobile operators worldwide. Later examine other companies in different countries, with their configuration information.

1. Create a connection to the cell

reference Let's take a range of best-selling phones, the Sony Ericsson W200 and K310.

First we have to install the drivers for the USB connection. To use the CD that provides the equipment and install the PC Suite. With the basic version is enough. We followed the instructions, reboot the PC and see if it recognizes the phone.

then configure the phone as follows: Menu
  • Connectivity:
  1. Data Communications Data Communications
  2. New account GPRS data
  3. Name: (to taste)
  4. APN:
  5. mms Username and Password: (Nothing blank).
  6. Save.
  • Now in the new account
  1. More
  2. Account Info Record the number of "external ID"
Go to the PC and the phone connected to what we do is create a network connection New:

For this we use the Network Setup Wizard, NO the PC Suite. Selected as a modem
Sony Ericsson W200 USB WMC Modem . Do not use the Data Modem.

In put username and password mms mms .
then request the number, where we enter * 99 *** N # , where "N is the external ID number that we had noted previously.

Once you create the connection open all the connections we create and select the right button to enter property. There

go to the tab of Network Functions :

We stopped in Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and enter Properties button . They leave everything as is and enter in the Advanced Options button ... and uncheck where it says " Use gateway on remote network predetermimnada "

With this we have configured the network to connect the cellular telephone network at the same time. Then we

2. Forward the data through a proxy

For this we will use a program called CCProxy, very simple to use.

The links are:

CCProxy Download file (. Exe). download page. It is a trial version allows only 3 connections, but how we will use only 1 achieved for our purposes.
has English version, but if the install is in English go to Options, Advanced, MISCELLANEOUS and select "English."

After running the program found that internet is connected both broadband and wireless connection. In the window of CCProxy access Options, leaving everything as it is but changing the port number 8080. Also mark Autodetect local IP Address (if not already marked).

With this we have the proxy bypassing data from our connection. Now what remains is to share it with other phones.

3. Access from mobile phones

For that we must create a new data account:

  • APN: mms Username
  • :
  • mms Password: mms
  • Allow Calls: Automatic IP Address
  • ...
  • DNS Address: ...
  • Authentication: None
  • Compress Data: Off

Then configure internet:
  • Name: (Your wish)
  • Connect using: (the name we gave you)
  • Use proxy: Yes
  • Address proxy: 172.25.xxx.xxx (*)
  • port number: 8080
  • User:
  • mms Password: mms

To find the proxy address that we will use, go to area notification of our PC, Right click on the connection of cellular and flap detail at the end we will find the IP address of the client. With that IP replace the (*).

This configuration will be available as long as the cell connection acts as server, if that is interrupted is assigned a different IP and you have to modify the settings for other phones (users of the server).
