BlackBerry Tips: How to erase all data and applications

Sometimes, not always, we need to erase all data on our BlackBerry before doing something, or because we have to return it to its owner (perhaps someone gave it to us until we got our own phone) or because we to return to the workplace, or whatever reason and we do not know how. I will leave then a series of recommendations that serve to make the mobile to zero without a trace of that we have ever used.

One detail that I want to clarify before you start: Do not turn off or remove the battery from the phone while following the procedure of erasing the data but the process sometimes seems that the phone was finally hanged.

There are a number of ways to ensure that all data and applications with our passwords are deleted permanently:

* a) Within the menu you must go to "Wipe Handheld"
* b) Write a system password incorrectly 10 times in a row
* c) Use the tool Aplication Loader with BlackBerry Desktop Manager and delete all data manually
* d) Use the Backup tool and restore files in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager

But I will explain them one by one how these tools:

a) Remove Device:
First we go to the screen Start and click on Options, then depend on whether we use BlackBerry Device Software or not. If yes what do we use click Security Options, but if we just do not click Security. Within the new menu we select Delete and then select Continue device where we will ask you to write, we must enter the word BlackBerry and press return. This will erase all data.

b) Incorrect Password:
This is a feature that not everyone knows, and works with all models, if we enter the phone's security features d0nde prompted for a password we can enter 10 times wrong password (or we can set from the menu that we ask for a password after the ill-xy). After the last attempt and as a security measure will erase all data from mobile and just left the factory.
This same procedure works if we enter the wrong password in the Aplication Loader, also 10 times in a row and get the same result.

c) Aplication Loader:
This is a "manual" method to delete data, and requires us to connect the phone to our computer and we use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. You have to double click on Aplication Loader and then Next, we will ask for the password and then you can click Next to choose your phone model you want to delete.
This leads to a new screen Aplication End Loader wizard, where we need to click Advanced to see the option of storing the data of the device where there is an option called "Erase all application data" should be select it and when we click Next begins the process. Please note that this can take many minutes, this does not mean that has hung, give it time and do something else in the meantime.

d) Backup and Restore Files:
In this case we also need to connect your BlackBerry to our computer, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, enter a password and double click Backup and Restore Files, and within this option Advanced. Once there we must press and hold the shift key while we manually with the mouse selecting all databases on the cell and then click Delete.
Once you select all and click on Delete, a warning window will there to agree to clear all data and applications.
